Oftentimes i open atuin to check a previous command and I type a new command in (as in some cases this is faster than editing). However after this one of two things happens

  1. I try to run it (with enter) -> it will select a similar (highlighted) command, but not the one I want
  2. I try to edit it (with tab) -> it will select a similar (highlighted) command, but not the one I want
  3. I try to exit atuin (with down) thinking it will allow me to continue editing the command in the search box -> the command is lost and I have to type it out again.

For 1 and 2, I suggest that maybe a deadkey or alternative button combination be added to select the search box command (eg. shift+enter to run and shift+tab to edit).

For 3, maybe could it be added as a configuration option?

Thanks in advance.
