Actually I had a problem with the terminal being very slow when I installed Amazon Q, but I remedied the problem by reviewing the zshrc.

Specifically, I had ChatGPT output the contents of zshrc such that the command line had this error and ignored it.
source ~/.zshrc
/Users/{you}/.zshrc:11: compinit: function definition file not found

I loaded compinit manually and used the autoload command.
And if compinit was not found, it was ignored.

This may be a temporary fix, but this solved the problem once and for all.
