The network speeds using the TRENDnet TUC-ET5G have never once approached anywhere near 5Gb/s. I'm lucky if I break 1.5Gb/s
I tried disabling thermal throttling, I tried enabling and disabling low power 5G. I even went as far as to machine a custom heatsink with a smal blower fan on it.
I've removed the driver and re-installed, I have tried both front and back ports, and I have tried 3 different USB C to A adapters. Nothing makes a difference.

TRENDnet TUC-ET5G
Description of your environment
Connected to a small switch with 2x 10Gbe SFP+ and 4x 2.5Gbe RJ45.
I primarily connect with two systems:
Unraid using ZFS and a 10Gbe SFP+ Intel NIC.
Sonoma Hackintosh with 2.5Gbe (I believe it's Realtek). NVME SSD, and I get the full 2.5Gb when accessing Unraid, but about 1.6Gb when accessing the Synology..
Every cable in my network is shielded CAT6a except the SFP+ cable for the Unraid machine it uses a CAB-10GSFP-P1.5M-CSC. The Synology connects to one of the 10Gb SFP+ ports using a HiFiber ASF-10G-T With a 3ft CAT6a Cable

There was actually so many of these I could't figure out how to select them all to copy so this is just one of the errors. They all look pretty much Identical.
