I wanted to say thank you and also let you know I have this working on the DS415+ using the r8152-avoton-2.12.0-3.spk driver.

I have the CableCreation B07VNFLTLD (Type-A) plugged into one of the back port of my Diskstation. (The front port is not usb 3). It did not show up at first but it worked after reboot.

I am getting full 2.5Gbps speed.
