The client and the AP, are installed with the latest version of openwrt. How to configure openwrt as a client so that it can well support 802.11kvr and implement fast roaming functions together with the AP.

The instructions here explain the requirements to make this work.

If you haven't already, it sounds like this is a secondary device in your network, so you'll want to follow the instructions to set it up as a dumb ap.

The first step for enabling the roaming features is to uninstall the default basic version of wpad (wpad-basic-mbedtls currently) and install a full version (wpad-mbedtls).

Then you'll see all of the options in the WLAN Roaming tab of your wireless settings (in LUCI), or you can follow the instructions above to set the required values in '/etc/config/wireless' if you want to ssh into your device without LUCI.
