i should start by saying ive only tried trading with 1 seller because he is the only one offering the transaction type i need, although there were multiple trade attempts
i tried to buy some bitcoin, i uploaded my bitcoin address, and got "Wait for the sellers' payment account data". all seemed well at first, but this message persisted, even though the seller said he sent it, and neither mine or his messages were being received either (we were communicating outside of the pending offer window or whatever its called)
i dont have any connection issues with bisq 2 other than with the trade offer window, bottom left corner says "Network data received" and i can communicate just fine, but not within a trade

Have you and the trade peer tried to restart your applications? You can ask the trade peer to create another offer with the same amount/price and take that offer again and try to use that trade to get forward.

In some rare cases there can be network issues where messages do not get transmitted. But first try to restart, after that there is a chance that the missing message get re-sent.

idk about my peer but i have tried restarting bisq 2 (and my pc)
the issue persisted with multiple offer attempts
on the last attempt (the 3rd) i left the offer open for a few days with a few restarts either of just bisq 2 or of the operating system
