It might be easier to switch to LTC/LTS branches so that maintenance can be easier while still getting security updates. Note that the security updates are only provided for issues which affect ChromeOS after the first 8 weeks of each release. The LTC/LTS channels are supported for a total of 8-9 months. Supermium, a port of Chromium to Windows XP and above, has also switched to LTC/LTS.
The current LTS is M126, which will be supported until 2025 Apr 15.
The next LTC/LTS is M132, which will be released to desktop stable on 2025 Jan 7, and will be supported on desktop until early 2025 March, and on ChromeOS until 2025 Oct 7.
After that is M138, which will be released to desktop stable on 2025 Jun 24, will be supported on desktop until early 2025 August, and on ChromeOS until 2026 Apr 21.
