[v2.2.1, xubuntu20.04 fresh install]

If you change the name / description (/icon) of a launcher, the 'save launcher' button isn't un-greyed and thus the edits aren't saved if you move somewhere else. Best workaround is toggle hide/unhide launcher to wake up the save launcher button.
