I have Chrome in the correct path installed (before I installed Brackets), but whenever I try the Live Preview, it asks me to install Chrome, which would not make sense because I already have it.

for me it opens a new chrome instead of use the one that is already opened as it did before sprint 25!

@foogit - what happens if you type 'start chrome' in a command prompt? Have you tried these troubleshooting steps?

@erkage - this is intentional. Live preview opens Chrome with a new user profile. This way your old Chrome session isn't interrupted, and background tasks like feedly don't interfere with restarting Chrome.

@gruehle ahh, i see! so it's a feature, not a bug ;)

@foogit - did you ever get this resolved?

You don't mention what build you're using. We improved live development launching with Sprint 25.

@gruehle
I have the same issue as@foogit . But after launch a new Chrome window, it prompt "Chrome needs to be relaunched with remote debugging enabled" everytime. It does work after relaunch, but it also close my other existing Chrome windows.

I think it is an issue rather than feature.

@towertop are you on a Mac? If so, that is the expected behavior. Chrome needs to be relaunched to enable remote debugging.

We have this user story to improve Chrome launching on OSX, and bug #1713 to restore browsing session when restarting chrome.
