Cannot get featuredproducts block to display on RWD theme home page

this is added to my home page CMS page content: {{block type=”featuredproducts/listing”}}

the plugin is enabled in System/Configuration

I have 8 products chosen as featured products. They do display on the standalone featured-products page.

If anyone finds this, the answer is that Magento 1.9.2.2 added permissions for block types.

After adding the type to the permissions list, the block re appeared on the home page instantly.
