Wiki or page explaining how to set up configs?

If while making a modpack I wanted to ensure AOBD added materials it may not be able to detect automatically and have it attempt to replace recipes for mods, is there any capacity to put that into the configs manually?

If so, is there any write up explaining how to do that? Should probably make one if there isn't.
