Hello.

I just wondered how comfortable it would be if this tool would be available via mac/linux brew

Maybe that’s something already on your list, maybe not. But I thought I could at least if you’d be up for it.

Thank you very much.

I would be thrilled to see gotta-go-fast on brew, but it looks like me submitting a formula myself would be against the rules

We frown on authors submitting their own work unless it is very popular.

(from the brew guidelines on acceptable formulae)

...but if you wanted to take it upon yourself to give it a shot, be my guest. 😉

Alternatively it looks like I might be able to provide it as a third party tap, but I haven't looked in to what would be involved.

Oh, that’s interesting … didn’t know that. Not sure I’m able to create a formulae myself … and I didn’t find a place where I could “propose” gotta-go-fast as formulae, so I thought I’d ask here.

You can create a Brew Tap to do this. I have some example code here which I used to deploy one of my Haskell executables through Brew.

After doing the above you can install the app with something like:

brew tap callum-oakley/homebrew-gotta-go-fast

brew install gotta-go-fast
