Ubuntu Server: building up the glossary #166
Comments
Hi @s-makin, I would love to work on this! I can start working on terms starting with A, B, and C only. |
That's great @Sophie-Pages, thanks for volunteering! I look forward to seeing how you get on, hopefully it should be straightforward :D |
Hi @s-makin, if possible, I would like to work on the terms starting with D and E. |
Hi @RomainDusi, that would be both possible and very welcome :D if you get stuck at all please do let me know, and thanks for taking this on! |
I'll work on the first 5 terms starting with an "F". Check out this sample I made. |
Thanks @network-charles, I'll take a look :) |
Hi! I might have overreached by commiting on A, B, and C. I will focus on A for now so if anyone is interested in B and C terms don't hesitate. I will take the next free definitions when I have finished A-terms. Pull request: canonical/ubuntu-server-documentation#140 |
No problem at all :) thanks for letting us know! |
Hi @s-makin, I would like to work on the terms starting with J! |
Task
Now that we have a glossary, we need to begin defining the terms. This is way too large a task for one person to do alone, so this issue can be worked on by multiple people tackling different sets of terms.
To avoid merge conflicts between PRs, please indicate which terms you want to work on!
Details
Full details of what's needed (and suggested approach) can be found on the server issue.
Although you can claim this issue here, please make sure to submit your PR against the Ubuntu Server documentation repository.
Context
The Ubuntu Server docs were recently migrated to GitHub/Read the Docs from their previous home on Discourse. We'd be grateful for any help on several issues that will help us to finalise this and provide a better experience for our contributors and readers.
