Invalid arguments to feed method

I've recently ran into the following issue on linux, any idea what might be happening?

Maybe the C++ extensions are out-of-synch -- please run
pip install -e .
to rebuild.

Why the need of manually installing the dependencies? If the code has been released we shouldn't use workarounds. If the code has not been properly tested perhaps pre realising it could help, early adopters would act as beta testers and users that rely on stable version won't be affected by poor testing.
