The opening sentence of Section 4.2.4 Example says the modeling is predicting cervical cancer but the code (and odds ratios in the table) are for predicting the Healthy level of the cervical$Biopsy variable not Cancer. So, the results in table 4.3 and there written explanations are from predicting benign disease instead of cancer. It would be helpful if that could be clarified in the text (or the modeling could be tweaked to predict the Cancer level of the variable.

Thanks a lot for raising the issue. I will be publishing the 3rd edition of the book soon which includes a major overhaul of the examples. Including using a different dataset for the classification examples.
