Hi Ohana heroes!

At Code4Sac, one of our coders has built an app that presents Sacramento-area 211 data to digital volunteers so they can help us tag services with Open Eligibility words and phrases.

We'd then like to have the app put out a JSON file that would be acceptable to the Ohana API. Before I make the ask, I want to be sure I refer them to the correct specification version.

Would that be the specs here? --> https://github.com/codeforamerica/ohana-api/wiki/Populating-the-Mongo-database-from-a-JSON-file

If not, can you provide me with the correct link?

I know things will be changing, but we'd rather just get started now and tune later.

Thanks!
Hailey

Hi Hailey,

Thanks for your interest in Ohana! That link is indeed the most current in terms of loading data into Ohana API.

To see what kind of data changes will be made, follow the conversation here: https://github.com/codeforamerica/OpenReferral

I also wanted to point you to the Admin interface that allows you to tag services with Open Eligibility taxonomy. If you already have data in a format that can be loaded into the API, you can then deploy the API and the admin interface, and have the volunteers use the Admin interface to update the data.

Thanks! I'll share those features with the crew. Thank you for all your awesome work on Ohana!

PS Is it bad manners to close an issue on someone else's repo? I'm still trying to figure out how this all works. Hope y'all don't mind!!
