One requirement for the badge, for example, is:

The information on how to contribute SHOULD include the requirements for acceptable contributions (e.g., a reference to any required coding standard). (URL required)

How does one know that a change to the subject repo will satisfy the requirement (ie Met) before going through the process of making a release to get the change promoted to the main branch of the repo?
