Support templates for my passwords

Ideally, I'd like to specify a template to generate my passwords:

e.g., "long pronounceable" to generate xkcd-style ones

Would a commandline argument for the CLI with the template name be alright as an implementation ?
Then - initially the templates would be hardcoded in the program itself, but later maybe read from a config file ? What do you think ?
