User Story

As a dotCMS Content Author, I want to be able to set the value of Publish/Expire fields for my Contentlet using my local date instead of having to enter it as UTC. This way, I don't have to deal with calculating my local time in UTC to enter the correct value.

Acceptance Criteria

When having a designated Publish/Expire field, the value in there must be transformed into UTC under the covers by dotCMS, and the application must handle the publishing/un-publishing process in the appropriate Contentlets.

This was agreed on during the Falcon Team's standup on March 3rd, 2025.

Assumptions & Initiation Needs

This automatic conversion of date and time from local to UTC applies ONLY when the date field is either set as the Publish Date field or Expire Date field in the Content Type's definition. Any other existing Date and Time field must keep working as it is.
