thanks for your suggestions, for the second one i don't think that it can be done,
according also to what's on the faq: https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/faq#faq-persist-popups, so i think that the reload cause the extension to lose the focus, so it will be automatically closed.

For the first point, i think that it should be possible, and i think it can be done, i'll check how to implement it, and keep you updated!
