Working with the new electricians - what to double-check is included

Our electrician bailed on us because he over-invested in a different business (a hardware store) that went under so he had to disappear to take care of those issues.

We are now working with a new electrician, who have just sent over their quote for the rest of the work that needs to be done (more than we'd hoped of course but they know that we need them more than they need us thanks to our previous electrician bailing).

The issue is that it's not very itemised, leaving us in a murky position where we might end up thinking that there is something that they are doing which they don't think they are:

I propose we therefore have to make a list of the main things we want to make sure are included in the figures to be completed and run it by them (they've also agreed to go over our list and confirm).

Meanwhile, they are likely to be able to start mid next week, so this is a p1.

A few things off the top of my head that need to be included:

• Connecting the sensors for the electric taps
• Installing the hand dryers
• Betoneira for the solar panels
• 20 external electrical points External Security/Safety Lights 💡 #26 Exterior lighting #61
• Electricity for the pool machine room
• Electrical provision for the pool heat pump
• Electrical provision for the stair lift

My biggest open question is around the bathrooms. The lighting points here are all wrong, who pays for this to be changed? Do we get a quote for these changes and deduct them from the amount we said we'd pay the old electrician?

We spoke about the bathroom lights and unfortunately there isn't much to be done now. 😭 We'll deal with options for the lights themselves in #72

@nelsonic We should make sure the hand dryers are in the house to be installed at the same time as all the light fittings.

Installing the fittings is a separate issue, the main issue here has been dealt with.
