Due to FlexSliderExtension being applied in _config.php of the module it doesn't easily allow for removal of that extension if the developer wants to require their own init for the slider.

We can keep the extension in the module and note that for most cases you can just apply the extension to the desired page's controller, but for more complex scenarios there would be examples in the readme.
