Hello Eddo!
I've noticed that there are more than 80 GitHub projects related to YNAB converter scripts. Would it be helpful and would there be interest in an effort to consolidate all (most) of these into a single tool? On the plus side, clearly there's more than enough solutions and contributors. On the minus side, these are spread across different spoken languages, programming languages, and of course bank export formats.
Wow, 80 projects?! Yeah, I agree with you that it could be helpful to consolidate (some of) those tools that are out there.
Thanks for providing the link to the subreddit, I wasn't even aware that it existed. I don't use Reddit actually...
Do you have a plan on how to proceed? I've been thinking about rewriting the script in Python, as it currently is a bit more common for conversion scripts.
Hi Eddo!
Another contributor has already uploaded a Python-based converter, take a look at let's discuss what you think about it. Most useful would be if you would add your bank's CSV format.
I don't really have a plan with this at all, I'm just improvising. I thought it would be good for the greater community to have a single tool for all banks.
Hi again Eddo! Sorry to keep disturbing your peace :-)
We have built a really nice solution in the meantime and it would be wonderful if you would share your bank's format with us? You could either respond here (something like "date";"account";payee";...), or use this form where we collect all our formats.
Cheers,
Ben

You're probably familiar with the YNAB subreddit. I've posted this idea here for a joint discussion: https://www.reddit.com/r/ynab/comments/75fctx/tools_can_we_consolidate_all_our_ynab_import/
