After deploying Auditbeat/Filebeat on systemd systems, I see the following messages in the output of dmesg.

[3295650.491460] systemd-sysv-generator[14682]: Configuration file /lib/systemd/system/auditbeat.service is marked executable. Please remove executable permission bits. Proceeding anyway.
[3295650.554184] systemd-sysv-generator[14682]: Configuration file /lib/systemd/system/filebeat.service is marked executable. Please remove executable permission bits. Proceeding anyway.

Details,

  • Version: Auditbeat + Filebeat 6.4.0

  • Operating System: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

  • Steps to Reproduce: Install Filebeat / Auditbeat from .deb file(s) and look at the output of dmesg
