Description

We want to upgrade our requirements to use Ubuntu 24.04 packages, and we should update all images that currently uses it.

Additional context

Additionally the readme should have a statement that we recommend using Ubuntu 24.04, and that other distributions and versions may work but must be setup manually.
This note should also be present in the public docs.

Definition of done

  • Container images updated to 24.04
  • Requirements updated to 24.04
  • Notice added about supported distribution and version statement
