Cannot reply and edit message in a thread

To recreate:

• start thread
• reply to msg in thread
• edit the reply (fix a typo fir example)

Expected:

• see a edited message as a reply in a thread
  What happens in the app:
• the message does not get displayed with the reply anymore. Only the edit is shown.
