Steps to reproduce

  1. Don't use Element for a while
  2. Open Element
  3. Wait for it to sync
  4. Wait for it to sync
  5. Wait for it to sync
  6. It has taken several minutes

Outcome

What did you expect?

The sync to be very quick

What happened instead?

It took several minutes
