Sometimes there are a few emails in a thread that should be deleted without deleting the whole thread. In Gmail, this is handled with an option in the singular email's upper-right corner (options menu) wherein the individual email can be deleted. Something to add to Mail's wishlist?
Interesting! I can see some value in that, though I also fear it could quickly overwhelm that menu if we start adding all of the actions one might want to perform on a specific email instead of the thread.
This would also help when Mail fails to send a single e-mail and it stays indefinitely in folder to be sent, generating a notification each time Mail does something. The only option is to delete whole thread.
