Hi, guys. Well..... I'd like to suggest a neat little feature here, that I think will attract a lot of people to the operating system of Elementary OS. The current notification panel is very messy. It shows all the notification from one app separately - which makes it very messy. There is no other usefulness for the notification panel, no other attractions.
Proposal
A separate Panel, that will be in the notification panel, but separated from it below, with all the most interesting and useful feature that a lot of existing and new users will love. A feature within the extended panel that connects with the Elementary Tasks app, that shows all the user's undone tasks and tasks that they have coming up - in a widget, rectangular style. Also, a feature that shows all the unread emails in the similar widget style which allows automatic switching from one email to the other if there are more than one unread emails. A feature that shows the weather and allows interaction. A feature that shows news headlines slideshow. A feature that connects with the Elementary Calendar and shows all upcoming events and holidays etc. It's time to make major improvements to Elementary that are useful and mind blowing on each update release. Allow the notifications to act like automatic padded widget that slideshows the unread notifications. When the user hovers over the notification, allow the notification to freeze and be interacted with. To see all the notification from one app is to implement a expand toggle. To see all the other notification. A feature that integrates with google fit and shows user's fitness data and real-time or hourly traffic updates around the area. Also, it's time to make elementary colorful. Allow the entire application skin of all applications be forced into the accent color of selection or wallpaper, the background of the application, everything. Allow the grey area around the login area of the lock screen to be changed into any wallpaper of selection or color by the user. That, my friend, would be great and very attractive to new users. These improvements may even win the hearts of competitor Linux users!
Prior Art (Optional)
Windows have a very similar feature and android devices too. Some of these feature are implemented in styles of side panels; like Google Discover Now, HTC Feed, Microsoft Launcher shows even recent edited documents on theirs. The difference with Elementary Panel is..... its at a place where all users must see, a place were all users must go, they have to see it. They will interacting with it and they will love it. With these updates, more and more talented coders and developers will see this and love and want to help. Remember, Elementary OS is still in the top 5 most beautiful Linux Distros. Add these features and Elementary OS will remain at top.
