Currently Watch Suggestions recommends new pages based on what pages that link to pages the user has on their Watchlist.
Similar Users
Suggestions could be improved by determining who is a similar user to the current user and suggesting pages from that similar user's watchlist. I imagine this could be done by looking at who is watching the same pages as the current user. The more watches the user has in common the higher their influence is on suggested pages.
Config Variables
It would also be great to have a config variable where admins could set page categories that should be ignored by Watch Suggestions.
There could also be another config variable to explicitly define which categories to show in Watch Analytics. That would allow for 'watch campaigns' of sorts in case admins want to nudge users into watching certain areas of the wiki.
