Hi,
Given that the standards way to tag box sets is to use the discsubtitle tag, the one missing piece is the associated album (disc subtitle) artwork.
Would it be possible, in addition to displaying the disc subtitle, to display an associated image too? From a storage/indexing perspective I'd expect the artwork to reside alongside the associated tracks having the name of the disc subtitle tag.
Here's an example of what this looks like in another system (I've reduced track count to keep the image small):
I have a number of compilations with disc subtitle artwork too, so it's not purely for box sets (just in case a better solution to tagging box sets arrives).
It looks like OpenSubsonic doesn't cater for this either. It appears from the documentation that it should belong to the disctitle extension. Is there a process to get this raised?
It would be nice if we could have playlist artwork too (which applies at the top level, not at track level) in much the same way (stored alongside the playlist with the same name), but one thing at a time :-)
