[Enhancement]Relative seeking #593
Comments
If you select the seekbar using left/right arrows should be update the play position. |
It does select the position but it doesn't keep in sync with the track. If I press right arrow while focused on the seek bar it seeks to around 2 seconds no matter how long the track has been playing. It also stays at the same position when I go to another track. I tested this on Windows with Firefox and Edge (i.e. Chromium). But yes, a keyboard shortcut for this would definitely be nice, since locating the seek bar takes much more time. |
Hello! |
Yes, I'd be happy to implement this in the coming weeks. I'd suggest using ctrl+shift+left/right for these so that they would be related to the go to previous / next track commands. |
Perfect! |
As far as I know the only way to seek inside a track in LMS is to use the progress bar. However, the issue with it is that its value won't update as the track progresses, meaning there is no way to, for example, seek 10 seconds backward from the position I'm at right now. I find myself wanting to do this much more often than go to an absolute position in the track.
It would therefore be useful if the UI had buttons to seek relatively in the track, e.g. 5 seconds backward / forward. Or if there is an intuitive way for a mouse user to do this then perhaps this could be implemented as a keyboard shortcut.
