Can add a clipboard entry with a command..?

One of the zsh plugins wants to pipe text to clipboard manager.. can I do something like that with greenclip..?

copydir () {
	emulate -L zsh
	print -n $PWD | greenclip

[stibinator]

Weirdly if you use greenclip print foo that will copy foo to the clipboard history. But it doesn't take piped input:

➜  ~ print -n $PWD|greenclip print
<prints all the clipboard history, but "test" is not added>

this doesn't work either:

➜  ~ print -n $PWD|greenclip print -
➜  ~ greenclip print                
-
<just appends "-" to the history>

What works is

greenclip print "$(print -n $PWD)"
