I use VS Code and the HTML tags are built-in. There are many Surround type extension to surrounding text with a tag. |

I have not tested all of them. I used to use UltraEdit for many years and I created my own surround snippets which were very easy to create and insert (from the visible panel, similar to the Edit extension). However, it is not a free program and when I switched to Linux, I moved to VS Code. |

Please tell me which desktop HTML / CSS / JS editors have the “Edit”, "bbCodeWebex", and "bbCodeInsert" browser add-on functionality? Maybe there is some kind of add-on for Microsoft Visual Studio Code that provides the same convenience for creating snippets and applying them to selected text, as is implemented in Edit? I mean the ability to specify quite large blocks of code in the add-on settings, including line breaks. I looked at Bluefish, SeaMonkey Composer, Arachnophilia and some proprietary products like Dreamweaver, Oxygen XML Editor, Codelobster, CoffeeCup HTML Editor and HTML-Kit and didn't find what I was looking for.
