A monthly “Office Day”

Franzi brought up a nice idea imo: An “Office Day” once a month or so, where we can come together to work on some of the medium size and bigger projects to improve the office.

Some of those projects could be:

• The (in)finite garden on the terrace
• Some other nice things for the terrace (we have a lot of wood in the storage room)
• Do some Ethereum artwork out of wood or foam or light

It might be a nice way to get some bigger projects done in the office & to spend some time together.

So let’s make it more concrete and try to decide on the first day.

Here’s a doodle. (Starting earliest in 2 weeks to have enough time to discuss what we do & prepare). Times & dates can be debated here.

I'm pretty sure I can't make it to any of those since I most likely will be working remotely for that time.

Why not keep it simple and say we aim for every end of month (if the format is successful)?

And in terms of what to do, I think a mix of work and pleasure would be great, e.g.

Friday, 29th of July:
15:00 stop work :) and start with office improvement stuff
19:00 finish with office improvements and have BBQ and beers at the terrace

Ideas for what we could do re. office improvements:

• tidy up workstations and shelfs
• declutter communal areas
• water plants, throw away dead plants
• install the big ETH diamond lamp and do other handy work
• install more sound absorbing panels
• tidy up kitchen and fridges and throw away old stuff
• create custom art (e.g. big ETH diamond with washy tape) for free walls
• properly frame nice posters and Ethereum art (not have the print outs hang at the bottom of the frame)
• make the terrace nice; work on our infinite garden on the terrace

On August 9 BSR (Berlin recycling) is coming to get our bulky trash. Maybe we can already collect some stuff on July 29. 😇
