I'm working on an open-sourced CMS based on madmin and have a few questions about madmin in order to make sure i did the right choice with picking it for the job. I would be really gratefull for any insights 🙏
Can we say madmin is still being developed, used and is not gonna get abandoned in the nearest future? I know this one is not so easy to answer but it's rather a question about what you "feel", not about requesting any sort of definite declarations
Readme says you're working on a new design - git blame says this line was added 3 years ago - is that still a thing? I would really love to know anything about that in order to make sure what i'm working on fits future madmin design
This is a weird one but important for naming - are you planning to keep the name or maybe wanna change it? I'm asking because name of the cms would probably allude to madmin name so i just want to make sure the struggle with finding a name on my end will not come to nothing. I will end up with <madmin name>-cms anyway though haha
Goals of my project: minimal dependencies, minimal JS usage, based mostly on turbo streams, block editor alchemycms style with live preview and custom attributes, following madmin philosophy with everything (minimal DSL, rails way etc). I'm currently finishing static pages block editor. It already has a functional live preview, couple of UI blocks to use (used hyperui but the cms is flexible enough to add any component one could want), next step would be navigation editor and coming up with a demo repo/template. I will probably announce it somewhere once it's ready to demo.
