First thanks a lot to Facebook and the fbthrift team for this great work and for releasing it to the public!
My request is not new (see #83, #132, ...) but I'd like to submit again this kind request that some of this great work can be integrated also into Apache Thrift. In my humble opinion both projects could just win from more collaboration, and both projects are already making very nice progress in their specific aspects.
So to drag out the questions into the open: Could fbthrift give IP clearance (http://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/index.html) for Apache Thrift and/or submit PRs for relevant work? And what would be needed to receive Apache Thrift changes into fbthrift, is there a similar procedure in place?
