What we're after:
Consider incorporating text on screen instead of relying on footnote to display pertinent information. For the 2020 reporting dates table we rely on an * to refer to a state also having a Senate election. Because this information is complicated and footnotes are not particularly desired in digital formats, this may be the best we can do. However, improvements can always be made and we should consider alternatives to improving on the display of this information.

Example: Alabama primary* https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/dates-and-deadlines/2020-reporting-dates/congressional-pre-election-reporting-dates-2020/

Completion criteria:

  • Consider improvements to displaying information that's pertinent to decision making - and should not be hidden by a footnote
