It was decided to use Android 12 as minimum OS for widgets, because of development and testing resources and because Android 12 has widget related improvements:

https://developer.android.com/about/versions/12/features/widgets

Define widget related xmls so that widgets are visible only in Android 12 and newer. The main app can have same minimum as React Native, currently Android 6.
