How to prevent memory leak with the <Drawer> component

I have mentioned in #639 that the prevents the subsequent pages from scrolling properly but it also creates a memory leak for some reason. The stack trace points to the drawer component itself:

How can I prevent this in case it is not a bug? The issues section does not seem to be very alive at the moment.
