After fresh install using ISO burned to DVD,
Could not boot dvd into regular bios. Bios would skip and not find bootable DVD,
After activating UEFI, the boot DVD worked and installation completed first time.
After installation, Umbrel will NOT activate the network adapters or grab an IP address from dhcp server.
I tried the following command. "sudo nmtui" and followed the prompt menu, with both Automatic and Manual (Static IP settings)
It will Error out and say cannot activate network adapter. My router also did not provide any dhcp address for this fresh instance on a dedicated dell server.
There is no exact explanation or error code of the issue when activating the adapter under "sudo nmtui"
If Umbrel requires UEFI for installation I really think the devs need to create a separate instance for regular BIOS installation because its less complications and headaches for the installs. I have noticed linux OS instances such as umbrel, have issues with running certain hardware while UEFI is enabled (if the install even completes), and there is not much information in searching about these problems.
