Struggling with viewing commit messages

Hello. I'm struggling with Gitlens because reading long commit messages is painful. right now, you can hover over a commit to get the details. This isn't bad but for long messages VSCode tends to 'refresh' and you loose the popup. Now, there are other places to read the commit messages like the details pane, the graph view, etc... but they are all very constrained in size, and you cannot expand them. Is it possible to get a expandable view of the git message anywhere?
