We recently shipped multi-select functionality in the pre-release version of GitLens.
As an example, in the commits section, you can shift-click to select multiple commits sequential at once. You can also cmd+click (or ctrl-click on Windows) to select non-sequential items.
If you then right-click and copy them, you can paste them into a file.
One use-case would be for crafting a changelog and grouping your your commits based on type (feature/fix/etc).
You can also multi-select more than just commits, such as stashes, branches, tags, remotes, and worktrees. So, give it a shot and let us know what you think. What are some other use cases you can think of? If you have used this functionality, how was the experience?
Caveat: This is not available in the commit graph, yet.
