clumsyMIDI box

I built a clumsyMIDI months ago and ever wanted to have a nice 3D printed box around it but never found one, so I asked a friend for help and he did. Here it is, the first print of the clumsyMIDI box.
Model still needs three modifications before it's really finished, but everything already fits so far and the system works great in combination with an Atari STe.

I know it's unlikely as it's so long ago, but I don't suppose you've posted the model files for this somewhere?

I can't find anything that looks exactly like the one @ojaksch built but I do know about

It's slimmer and relies on an external power supply but the Buttons/Encoder and Display are all there. Didn't try it myself but the 3D files seem easy enough to print.

You'd need to solder wires from the buttons and encoder to the GPIO header, as @ojaksch did in the picture.

Self-reply: What I don't see though is which buttons are used by the printables.com case. They probably snap into the cutouts and the keycaps will be just pressed on top. But I am unsure what the exact type would be. :/

Thanks for looking and I'm probably gonna butcher that model in TinkerCad to get what I need. I've got it hanging off dupont's with a LCD 2004, rotary encoder and arcade buttons, it needs a case!

Holy cow! These were Covid19 times when I opened many issues because of boredom. And I've forgotten this one 😢
So no, I never posted it somewhere, but here it is now! The only thing that's still a lil' bit untoward is the size of the fan opening, which is 3cm/1,18" but better would be 4cm/1,57" for a Noctua fan.

@ojaksch Very cool, thank you! Fan-wise: What is your experience with temperature? Do you think a couple topside air vents and passive coolers on the Pi's CPU could make it unnecessary or does the power supply get very warm?

Haven't run this for a longer time, maybe two or three hours per session and hadn't any issue. The Pi has a low profile heat sink. I should try to turn the fan off and to get some temp measurements...
