KOMA script package seems to be missing in the included TeX Live distro.

It's definitely incomplete, as the entire distribution would well exceed the limits imposed by Heroku. I've been toying with the ideal of accepting a texlive.profile and building a distribution on the fly, which would allow you to specify which pieces you need, but installation would take a while, and I'm not sure if that would have any impact on the git push. It might be work investigating further, though.

Something like a gemfile would definitely be nice, I will have a look shortly. KOMA Script is considered standard for non-US document formats, therefore it might be worth to include.

I knew I'd be missing something important for at least some group of people, but I didn't realize it'd most of the world's users. :( I haven't actually used TeX Live for too much yet, so I didn't know what is and isn't standard, so thanks for the tip.

And yeah, texlive.profile gets written out during your regular installation, allowing you to reinstall it later with the same settings. So if you already have a working installation, you should have a matching textlive.profile. It can be piped directly into the installation script to control which packages get installed. Check out the -profile option here: http://www.tug.org/texlive/doc/install-tl.html

I'll gladly test this out when I get a chance, though I probably can't free up the time to work on it for a little while, at least.
