The error message that I have in Xcode:

ld: file not found: /Users/drizzy/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/SingleLineShakeAnimationExample-auspgdspwgghncefchxchudwbpnl/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/SingleLineShakeAnimation.app/SingleLineShakeAnimation
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

Note: try to download the example Xcode project and run it using Xcode 6.4 and iOS 8.4 and you will get the same error message.

I have never been able to replicate this error. did you try deleting derived data?
