How to self host the site?

Hi guys, noob question, how can I self host the site?.
I checked the run.sh script and makes refeference to dev_appserver.py. A quick look shows that this referes to Google cloud local development server.
Do I need GC SDK to self host it? Is there any lighter way to self host it?
