README enhancement needed.

e.g. for Ubuntu

wget http://get.influxdb.org/telegraf/telegraf_0.1.8_amd64.deb
dpkg -i telegraf_0.1.8_amd64.deb

see issue #170

/etc/init.d/telegraf start
