I have no idea why, but after updating to laravel 4.2 it seems that PHP is now complaining that FactoryManager class must be declared abstract. Perhaps because it is extending an abstract "Manager" class? not sure.

Exact error message (as generated by composer update):

Generating autoload files

{
    "error": {
        "type":"Symfony\\Component\\Debug\\Exception\\FatalErrorException",
        "message":"Class Basset\\Factory\\FactoryManager contains 1 abstract method and must therefore be declared abstract or implement the remaining methods (Illuminate\\Support\\Manager::getDefaultDriver)",

        "file":"......./vendor\/jasonlewis\/basset\/src\/Basset\/Factory\/FactoryManager.php",

        "line":5}
}

One way to fix this error is to add a blank definition of getDefaultDriver(), but I don't know what kinds of problems this could add.

(inside FactoryManager.php)

public function getDefaultDriver() {
}

@amanpatel this solve the problem, I believe that doesn't cause any problems, yet. : )

I've moved on from this package (and the asset pipeline package). I now use grunt + bower to generate and build my assets. I would recommend this blog post:
