Hello! This is a small issue, but has been bugging me for a while.

The seal emoji, (https://github.com/jdecked/twemoji/blob/main/assets/svg/1f9ad.svg) is not actually a seal, but rather a sea lion. Here's a good diagram to explain the differences between the two:

As a fellow seal lovee, i 1+ this GitHub issue.

Thank you for bringing this up! We'll add it to our list to redesign.

The differences I see are that the front flippers need to be made smaller and less wing-like, and the back flipper should not be displayed at an angle that suggests it could rotate under the seal's body.

If there's anything I've missed, please let me know.

If an emoji design is so detailed that you can discern a seal from a sea-lion, it is too detailed. Emojis are meant to be vague and broad and inaccurate and cartoonesque.
